Catch Some Wide Eye

Single Fight

love doesn’t know what to do with me.
she hovers over me like a blank notebook
waiting for my input.
she hides her face from me for years.
when i call her, she runs.
when she follows me, i flee.
i stand my ground against her;
i build my invincible walls.
i seek her in the forests;
i call her among the hills.
i am a hot-tempered wind
rushing through her lair
but nothing can grasp me
no net, no arm, no chain
i am running through her hair
and love doesn’t know what to do with me
