Catch Some Wide Eye

I Sing of Seasons

i pity the songs of spring
with their lukewarm plots
and their fevered emotions
swirling petals of every color
and yellow pollen sticking to lungs

but i, oh i march to the beat of autumn
flavored leaves and crisp air
steady breaths cool and slow
determined steps into each day
in expectation of the snowman,
the sled, the hot cocoa cup.
