what i will miss the most
is the glimmer in their eyes
right before they define a world
right before their consciousness unfolds a truth
just as the star-kissed heavens
unwrap themselves in their minds.
that, i will miss the most.

Thank you, especially for taking the time to read and comment. 🙂
I really like this.
Reminds me of my university lecturer who made me like poetry again. The poem captures that ability that a good teacher has to open things up to people, making the audience as excited as they are about the material.
That’s an excellent way of putting it, Skyraftwanderer. You wandered in at the perfect time.
why will you miss it?
not going to teach anymore?
