too much death
for one soul
no loved one’s arms
to hold me in
Life presents us with many burdens but we somehow carry on.
Remember, in the darkness of night, daybreak always arrives..
Thanks for your emotional support. It always means the world to me that such a global community can be so genuinely kind and caring. Yes, this poem is a response to a death in my life. It was the second death in two weeks, both unexpected, under the age of 25 and untainted by the shenanigans of illegal substances or alcohol. I think TJ put it best. Quite sad. Quite sad, indeed.
